By offering incubation programs, mentorship, and microgrants, we help transform vulnerability into resilience, ensuring that both people and local businesses thrive.
Rooted in Florida and Puerto Rico, G-BISE understands the cultural and
economic dynamics of communities marked by youth migration, rising adult
autism diagnoses, and rapidly aging populations. Guided by measurable
outcomes, we set bold goals: reducing isolation indicators among seniors by
60%, serving more than 300 autistic adults each year, and accelerating over
100 SMEs in our first year of operations. These milestones reflect ourunwavering commitment to building healthier communities and stronger local economies.

In our systematic approach—underpinned by Case Design methodology developed by Dr. Carlos J. Calcador—GBISE incorporates proven frameworks such as a 2017 case study conducted by Dr. Calcador on Puerto Rico’s restaurant sector scholarworks.waldenu.edu+5scholarworks.waldenu.edu+5grafiati.com+5. This study examined how local restaurateurs navigated economic pressure and food safety regulations during a fiscal crisis, identifying strategies around cost reduction, employee knowledge transfer, and building cooperative ties with public agencies. By integrating these insights, G-BISE strengthens its ability to support small businesses in underserved communities with tailored, crisis-resilient, and socially embedded solutions that align with our goals of empowering entrepreneurship, reinforcing local economies, and promoting healthier communities.
Strategic Collaboration
At G-BISE, collaboration is powered by our staff, Board of Directors, Board of Advisers, and partners in business, government, and academia — working together to drive jobs, innovation, and healthier communities. These collaborations will strengthen local entrepreneurship, generate jobs, and integrate innovative approaches to social and environmental challenges. For example, the experience of G-BISE Staff alliances with the retail and manufacturing industries in 2009 Puerto Rico reduced the impact of waste on landfills, advanced the circular economy, and created new business and employment opportunities in municipalities and communities — with a budget exceeding $250 million. Guided by this expertise, G-BISE stakeholders continue to reinforce the mission of empowering individuals, building healthier communities, and fostering stronger local economies through sustainable growth.
Financial Sustainability
G-BISE leverages a strategic marketing and fundraising plan to drive its national campaign. Our goal is to secure donations from the private sector — including corporate sponsors, political leaders, and public stakeholders — by establishing a strong brand presence and demonstrating measurable impact. Beyond traditional donations, G-BISE also generates mission-aligned revenue through the sale of handcrafted memorabilia, online seminars and certified courses, and other entrepreneurial strategies permitted under 501(c)(3) regulations. These initiatives not only diversify funding but also engage communities, promote education, and expand opportunities for sustainable development. Together, donor support and earned revenues strengthen our capacity to empower entrepreneurs, reduce social isolation, and transform vulnerable populations into resilient, thriving communities.
Research & Technology
As part of our commitment to community empowerment and inclusive innovation, G-BISE has been working on a case study that explores the role of digital design in expanding social impact. This case study focuses on building strategic frameworks that help small businesses not only survive, but thrive through accessible digital tools, branding support, and online infrastructure. G-BISE is developing models that demonstrate how public-private collaboration can uplift underrepresented entrepreneurs and foster long-term economic resilience.
